Daniel Webster is a character on Netflix's Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. He is portrayed by John Rubinstein.

He resides in the town of Greendale, located on the opposite side of the Sweetwater River from Riverdale. He's a mortal lawyer specilized in Witch-Law and an old acquaintance of Edward Spellman. Webster defended Sabrina Spellman in her trial versus the Dark Lord.

Early life

In his early life, Daniel Webster had a daughter and he made a deal with Satan to make him the best lawyer in the world. He began to win every case he had, but it took him a while to realize that all his clients were scum who were actually guilty of the crimes they were charged with. Things came to a head when a client he got off charges of murder broke into his house and killed his daughter.

Physical Appearance

Daniel Webster is a Caucasian male in his mid to late sixties, with a grey head of hair and a beard.

Personality

Daniel appears to be a very compassionate man, who is racked with guilt over getting so many guilty men set free, which resulted in his daughters death. This led him into alcoholism, giving up hope and to giving up his practice. He seems to have regained some hope and given up drink after meeting Sabrina—perhaps because he believes Sabrina is the person who will finally cheat the devil.
